The Treatment

Also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy the treatment is very gentle and relaxing and may take up to an hour, depending on the condition being treated. Fully dressed the client lies down on their side in a comfortable position. The treatment is carried out while the client relaxes and is followed by a facial massage which concentrates on the lymphatic drainage system.

How does it work?

When lit the ear candle generates a gentle heat which produces a light suction action known as the chimney principle. This draws any impurities to the surface and the vibration of the rising air column has a massage effect promoting the health of the sinuses and the ear, nose and throat. Also the gentle warmth stimulates the circulation to the ear encouraging repair.

The Practitioner is professionaly qualified having a diploma in Hopi Ear Candles through a course accredited by The Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT) and BABTAC and full professional liability insurance cover is held. We only use original Biosun Hopi ear candles which are of the highest quality. They are a certified medical product according to EC guidelines (93/42 EEC). The candles are totally natural made of organic cotton and ingredients include pure beeswax, honey extracts and herbs known for their healing properties. We work from a comfortable treatment room in Syston, Leicestershire.
